FAde In:

bench shot
little to no dialogue in this scene. Opens with a fade to black to a wide shot of Svetlana sitting on a bench with an umbrella hat. Then while sitting and looking at the sunset begins to apply sun screen
Sweats scene
Ed is getting ready for his workout. Close up shots of him zipping up track suit and putting on a head lamp on. Also little to no dialogue in this scene. Mostly just atmospheric sounds.

Italian scene
This is a mid-shot of Svetlana walking past a Italian restaurant. There is more atmospheric sound in this scene however Svetlana makes a verbal display of disgusted as she walks by (i.e. dry heaving etc. )

The Bite scene
This scene opens with an establishing shot of the celery fields the locations where ed and svetlana meet. As point of view shot happens Ed cuts his hand and the shot directs to that. you hear atmospheric noise until Svetlana hits the ground with a thud.

What the-
                     (Turns to see Svetlana on the ground passed out)
                     (turns to get head lamp that fell off to get a better look at her)
          “whoosh”
                     (Svetlana is gone)
                     (ed looks around)
Svetlana
Cover it up, cover it up, cover it up!!!!!! (holding a band-aid)
Ed

Svetlana
Comes with the territory.
Ed
Are you a -

Yes, a vampire. What about it?
ed
Did you just -
svetlana
Faint? Yes. What about it?
 Ed
Were you gonna-

Svetlana
Bite you. Yes I was most certainly was.
 ed
Why’d you pass out? Low red blood cell intake for the day?
 svetlana
No… um its hard to explain. Its actually very funny actually. Well not at all (ed looks confused)well the sight of blood kind of… in a way… I gue-
 ed
Cut to the chase
Svetlana
Well I guess one could say the sight of it makes my blood run cold.
ed
How are you still alive then?
svetlana
Well I’m still kind of rather new at this thing.
ED
WAIT! Woah woah woah. You’re telling me I was almost stuck like this forever? (pats stomach)
               (bandaid falls off)

Svetlana
Oh my god
(faints)

Ed
Ummm. Well! It was super nice to meet and chat with you! I uh gotta bounce though so um enjoy to rest of your night
(turns around and uneasily walks away)

Creative Critical Reflection #3

The production skills I had were very limited in the beginning of the filming. i had these grand ideas with my partner on how what he wanted to see from our film but had little to no idea how to get there. This is mostly things we would learn as we filmed but getting the filming scheduled proved to be very difficult given our busy lives. When we did find the time however, We learned a lot about how to put the test photos we took into actual video to shoot. Directing was more of a touch and go of looking and seeing what was working and wasn't for a particular shot. For example, A very directed shot was actually the cut with the ketchup we used in place of blood. My reaction might have been delayed so re shot to get a more realist time for pain response. That scene also had my partner acting as Svetlana. She couldn't quite get the vampire scowl we were looking for so I directed her on some pointers such as curling fingers into claws and bearing her teeth at least. It took a lot ...

Critical Creative Reflection #4

The tech we used for filming was an iPhone 6S so there was no stunning graphics for the playback for the video but it was serviceable for what we wanted from the film. The Film was then edited on iMovie and there it underwent cuts, playback speed changes and the addition of a song.
