My Target Audience

As we begin to shift the film toward the marketing aspect of film production it is important to consider target audience. Ideally, a film should want to attract all manners of people to the box office to have dollars flowing in from everywhere, but of course this is idealistic not realistic. Our film is marketed to youth, like those that are still in secondary school or high school. This is sort of typical of the genre and subject as the comedy doesn't have innuendos or adult themes. There is one aspect of the film which is missing from the appeal to this age group, and that is a romance. There is none of that in the film and that could be bad as it is such a staple of really all movies geared toward youth. We hope this will be a much wanted refreshing feature of the film. Secondly, I believe given the location of where the film was shot there should be some draw of people to see the beautiful sights Sarasota has to offer simply due to escapism.
