Marketing of Our Film

I think the best way to start the film is with a great movie poster and trailer, these of course are conventional with the film industry. This alone would greatly fail to market our movie as ours does not have the notoriety to survive alone on this nor any film really.
Past the bread and butter we can really expand by partnering with various companies to incorporate items into their packaging or make appearances. Having these companies products in the movie would do well to generate some revenue from advertisements. I think that the film should be released around Halloween, as I think we could maximize our marketing in the month of October. There is a risk of over saturation in the film industry with horror movies or monster movies but the themes of our movie and the differing target audience should support this. The specific avenues we should explore would be possibly partnering with a bronzer/sunscreen or tanning company. The angle of having one of the main characters could lead to many sort of arrangements like this. Svetlana could be on the packaging of their products. For example ordinary yellow packaging could stay the same given Svetlana's multi-colored hat but she could smile and bear her fangs while giving it a thumbs up with the logo for the movie directly above her. You see certain dishes at restaurants have themes from movies as well so we could get a sponsorship from say an Applebee's and have a "Fangtastic Bluddy-mary" this would be virgin of course to actually reach our audience. Ed could be on the menu next to a garlic burger or something similar. These are a few examples we could do more and actually have the characters be in commercials for these products as well.
A social media account is absolutely imperative to reach our age range and promote our movie cheaply. The social media will work closely with the products we are partnered with to post when the actors make an appearance or repost the product's posts. We can have a countdown to the release date to build anticipation or even have a drawing contest like "What We Do in The Shadows" did.
Older avenues like radio is a relatively cheap way to do it as well we can have ads there on pop channels. I believe that actors promoting the movie seperate besides in character will really complete this marketing plan.
